Join Sahar for a special Vinyasa class focused on backbend to uplift the heart and enhance your mood. Backbends are a wonderful remedy for modern day lifestyles that often leave us with a curved back and slouched shoulders. Back bending allows us to open the from of the body and strengthen the back body, it’s a full body motion that requires so much more than flexibility in the spine. Come learn how to carefully open the body so that you can backbend with ease and freedom. We will safely warm up the body and build our backbend practice gradually focusing on proper form and safe alignment. You will be given lots of cues on how to pay attention to your body and where to “feel” the yoga poses. We will focus on opening up the hip flexors, chest and shoulders, along with strengthening the back body and engaging the core. Expect a fun class that will make you feel lighter and more expansive. No matter what level of Yoga is, whether you’re a tentative beginner or a seasoned practitioner, there is always a backbend out there that will make you feel something remarkable.
