The following guidelines have been developed to ensure every person who enters this space has a positive and peaceful experience.
What yoga class is right for me?
If you have never practcied before we suggest trying our Beginner Yoga Class, or maybe one of our Gentle Flow classes. Our Hot Hatha class is also a great place to start or return to your mat if hot yoga is more your thing. Our Power Vinyasa 1 class provides a wonderful introduction to vinyasa yoga as you move through the fundamentals of what vinyasa yoga is.
If you are returning to your mat or are new to the studio maybe try out our Power Vinyasa 1.5 class. Talk to us in the studio or call/Whatsapp us on 050 950 8863 if you are in doubt.
Be sure to let the instructor know you are beginning your yoga journey.
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing. Layers help to adjust for temperature changes during and after class.
Do I need to have my own yoga mat?
Bring your own towel or mat to absorb sweat. YogaOne towels are also available for renting at the front desk. If you are practicing regularly at YogaOne, you are welcome to leave your mat at the studio. Please make sure it has your name on it or is in an identifiable mat bag. YogaOne is not responsible for mats that are lost or forgotten.
Do I need to register before attending a class?
Check in and take care of payment before class.
Can I eat before class?
We recommended practicing on an empty stomach. Do not eat 2-3 hours prior to yoga practice. Juice or fruit are OK if you need quick energy before class. Drink plenty of water prior to class, but avoid drinking during class.
Can I do yoga if I am pregnant?
Inform the teacher before class if you are pregnant. This helps the teacher know how to assist you and give you modifications.

Please arrive to class on time
If you arrive late, make sure the class is not sitting quietly in meditation before you enter the room.
TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
PLEASE turn your cell phones OFF or anything that may make noise upon entering the studio.
Vibrate does not work. This enhances your experience and is a polite gesture to your fellow students.
Enter fresh and clean
Do not wear perfume or cologne.
Leave your shoes in a cubby in the studio lobby
This preserves the sacred nature of the studio space. We recommend renting a locker for your valuables.
YogaOne is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
ADVISE INSTRUCTOR OF ANY PRE-EXISTING INJURIES OR HEALTH ISSUES
Inform the teacher before class if you are pregnant or have any injuries. This helps the teacher know how to assist you and give you modifications.
Be considerate of our space
Pick up after yourself. If you borrow props and/or mats, please fold them neatly and place them in the designated area in an organized fashion. When using the shower, please clean up after yourself so the next person doesn’t slip on the floor.
DON’T PLACE YOUR MAT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF SOMEONE
Ensure everyone has sight lines to the instructor
Socialize before or after class
We encourage socializing before or after class but not during class as this is disruptive.
Please keep voices low when socializing in the lobby as other classes may still be in progress.
Children at play
Please remember to please be cautious and drive slowly around the compound as there are “CHILDREN AT PLAY.”
