The International Association of Infant Massage has been providing professionals and parents with information and expertise on infant massage since 1992.  This 5 week programmedraws from both the Indian and Swedish massage traditions as well as incorporating principles from Yoga and Reflexology.

Infant massage classes are a fun way to learn how to soothe your baby, relieve tummy upsets, learn to understand your baby’s non-verbal language and much, much more.  Massaging provides a wonderful opportunity to express your love whilst meeting your baby’s need for touch and affection that is so essential for their healthy development. Our classes are informal, relaxed, and small enough to ensure you get the personal attention you need. Classes offer a supportive group environment where parents can share experiences and learn from each other whilst having fun.

Parents attending the baby massage classes will learn different massage techniques and will receive a handout at the end of each class to enable them to practice the massage strokes at home.  Each week we will revisit the strokes taught in previous classes to layer in the learning experience. Parents will also learn very specific massage techniques to help relieve baby of uncomfortable colic/wind.

YogaOne’s Baby Massage programme is intended to teach lifelong massage skills that parents can easily adapt as their baby grows.  Our classes are baby led, and therefore respects the needs of the baby. It is normal (even expected) that babies will need to feed, sleep and cry during class.  If your baby is asleep, we provide dolls to support you to continue practicing and gaining the most from your class.
