YOGAONE’S 200hr Yoga Teacher Training is a highly-intensive program designed to educate & inspire the next generation of yoga leaders.  We firmly believe that the strongest attribute that any yoga teacher possesses, is themselves.  And so, we emphasize personal development, confidence and speech, supported by a solid anatomical knowledge of yoga alignment. YOGAONE has created a comprehensive program for those students who wish to learn from our own internationally trained teachers.  We aim to produce confident, knowledgeable, articulate, and empowered yoga teachers.

At the core of the YOGAONE’s philosophy is a profound sense of connection.  Not only do our thoughts affect us in tangible ways, but we possess a tremendous capacity to affect those around us, and the environment we live in.  As yoga practitioners and teachers, we strive for the extraordinary, so that we may serve as a beacon of possibility for those around us.  We see the divine in everything, but we also know that the divine lies within us.  Before trying to shape & control everything outside of us, we first need to look deep within, and do the work on ourselves.

We don’t provide answers.  Instead, we welcome and provide differing viewpoints and encourage lively discourse.  We set the circumstances to challenge notions about what yoga is, what it might feel like or look like, and why we practice.  We create an accelerated learning environment, where trainees gain the confidence to discover their own “truths” about yoga, about their bodies and their practice.  At YOGAONE, trainees find their authentic voice… sharing their knowledge & their practice naturally.

Yoga Technique, Training & Practice  

This is the largest portion of the curriculum, including Satsang, followed by daily Asana practice. The morning Satsang will always include a form of meditation, and will often include various traditional yoga techniques, such as Mantra, Kriya (cleansing techniques) and Pranayama (breathwork). The daily Asana practice is 90 minutes of rigorous, intentional, breath-based vinyasa and anatomy focused practice with emphasis on anatomical cueing, sequencing, alignment and modications . In the evening, we will finish our day with 60 minutes of Yin or Restorative practice.  

Teaching Method 

The YOGAONE teaching methodology is unique in its approach.  Demonstrating, hands on assists and adjustment of students is covered.  More comprehensively, we will use a systematic teaching method that is linked to breath, in order to increase awareness and sensitivity to the body.  Along with foundational overview of the contraindications to practice during pregnancy (3 hours).

Incorporating confidence building & group dynamics, we’ll cover voice, rhythm, tone, and pace to support trainees to reflect on their intention and teaching through use of their authentic voice to guide students.

Applied Anatomy + Biomechanics Applied Physical & Energetic Anatomy

YOGAONE’s  200hr YTT anatomy course we will deconstruct the parts of the body to give you a foundational understanding of how the body works. The inner workings of the body are extremely complex and in order to understand these complexities, you will need a clear understanding of the foundational information. This is where we will focus our attention. We have distilled the essential information down to the most important and relevant topics, for a new teacher to understand the effects of the yoga practice on the body.  An understanding of anatomy is key for the safety and development of your students.  Integrating this knowledge can encourage injury prevention and build a stronger body in process. It can connect a deeper understanding of the philosophies in creating yoga sequences for public and private classes.

Our anatomy curriculum has been carefully crafted by Mina Lee using her extensive background in teaching and studying anatomy. We cover both the human physical anatomy (skeletal, muscular) & physiology (nervous, endocrine, respiratory & cardiovascular systems) as well as energetic eastern anatomy (prana, chakras, nadis, bandhas).  There is a specific emphasis on biomechanics as well as understanding fascia & its role in shaping our bodies.  All of the anatomical principles learned in the training are applied to yoga asana practice in a real-life setting, through demonstrating healthy & sustainable movement patterns, benefits, and contraindications.

Yoga Philosophy & Ethics 

From The Patanjali’s yoga sutra to Modern-Day Mindfulness

YOGAONE has a non-traditional approach to Yoga Philosophy.  Expect a healthy dialogue on key concepts with our guest instructor Dr. Ganesh Rao, from The Yoga Sutras to the relevance of Yoga Practices in Modern Times.  But that’s just the start – as one could dedicate years to yoga philosophy, we hone-in on key traditional philosophical concepts. We explore present-moment awareness techniques, and mindfulness practice as they relate to a yoga teacher.

Embodied Leadership – Personal Development

YOGAONE trainings are unique in that we incorporate personal development and embodied leadership into our programs.  Trainees work in group settings, and one-on-one with an experienced teacher and qualified life coach as their dedicated mentor.  We believe this module of training is uniquely transformational for our trainees.

Practicum -Practice Teaching, mentorship & empowerment (authentic teaching)

Using accelerated learning techniques, trainees will practice teaching in a variety of settings & scenarios (including with small & large groups and plenty of surprise situations).  Trainees will have the opportunity to continue to develop their teaching skills through our mentorship program at the YOGAONE studio.  We will utilize technology, for example, via video feedback and YOGAONE’s online yoga classes, as another layer to the learning process for trainees living in different part of the world.  YOGAONE Practicum is design to continue one’s yoga education, using a thoroughly considered approach to teaching that greatly expands the potential and speed at which one learns.

Pre-requisites, Application & Certification

The program requires you to dedicate significant portions of time to your studies and you will frequently be at the studio for practice and lessons.

  • It is of the utmost importance that you prepare ahead of time to ensure that you have the time to dedicate to the program.
  • A minimum of one-year consistent practice, including practicing regularly at least 4 times per week. We have a rigorous applicant selection process and we will assign each teacher trainee a mentor to ensure that students maximize their learning potential during this training
  • Teacher trainees will be graded based theory and practical exams as well as attendance.

Dhs 12,600 (inclusive of VAT). A non-refundable deposit of Dhs. 2000 will be due when you sign up. Thereafter students will have two payment options.

  • Early Bird Payment: Students who make the full tuition payment by June 30th will enjoy an extra month of unlimited yoga classes during all of July & August!
  • Installment Payment: Students may also pay the tuition in two equal non-refundable installments –June 30th and Aug 10th.
