Pem wasn’t so sure about yoga when she reluctantly took her first class at age 18. But all her preconceived ideas (that one needs to be flexible & malleable from the get-go) washed away after that class. She realized it would take dedication, consistency and a very open heart to embrace yoga into her life. In 1995 Pem completed a two year Sivananda yoga school course in Geneva, Switzerland.
Her journey to teach began when she completed her first 200hr training with YogaArts in 2011. She did an additional 200hr with BodhiYogaAcademy – deconstructing the practice of Ashtanga then finally completing her most recent 200hr training with Bryce Yoga in June 2017 which enabled her to get a granular understanding of asana, movement, and breath.
Pem’s curious nature and desire to translate her teachings in a playful yet dedicated manner creates a safe & accessible space suitable for every body to practice in. Pem loves to dig deeper into her own practice and cultivate more knowledge on all eight limbs of yoga. In 2015 she fell head over heels for aerial yoga (for the numerous benefits it brings to mind & body) and is now AntigravityFitness certified.
Her favorite mantra in class is “You got this”
