For most of us, stepping onto our yoga mat is a ritual that we value but also take for granted. We show up to our practice with an expectation that the mat and some props will be enough to support us. But, what would our practice look like if we broke an arm or an ankle? How can the practice support an elderly friend who has vertigo or a loved one who doesn’t fit the traditional image of a “yoga body”?
With the support of chairs and wall space, this all-levels workshop will invite us to adapt our practice in new and creative ways, supporting and celebrating the body we have today.
